Emily ScottSunday August 24th 7.30pm - Bob David Bell & Emily Scott - Fringe 2008

Two singer songwriters  becoming well established on the Scottish scene come together to give a memorable evening. Emily Scott and Bob David Bell are favourites on the Edinburgh late night circuit as superlative singer/songwriters.

Bob David BellThey have albums. They have admirers. They have originality and an ability to make an audience stop eating their crisps and listen instead.  One reviewer wrote of Emily; “whimsical, charming double-bass-inflected folk-pop with buckets of soul and unexpected melodic twists” while Bob delivers a gutsy live performance full of Paul Simon-influenced vocals and virtuoso guitar work.

"42"

A man awaits his fate in a white cell. He has been waiting some time now 24 ... 25 ... 26 days and not a scrap of evidence ... surely it won't go to 42 ... surely it won't...

Aunty Pauline sorts things out with tea and biscuits and a sympathetic ear. You can trust what she says. She's here to tidy up. To sort it all out. Terrorist, dear? Nonsense, have another gypsy cream.

You can trust what she says, but can you trust her?
