The all new Calendar View of Up and Coming Events/Meetings in Coldingham and surrounding district. From time to time there may be Questionnaires and Forms to complete. Could even be small local grants. What is there is down to you !!

If you do not have direct access to add in an event then simply complete and submit the Coldingham Info contact form found at the bottom of this page for your event/meeting/notification etc. You can attach an Image or a pdf as a means to provide further information but it is entirely optional. The more places visitors can find your event/form etc. the better !!

Previous pages are now retired. However, you still have access for the time being if you wish to look back.

Community Council

The All New Community Council site where the content is solely managed by the community council. This should keep you fully up to date with decisions made and actions taken by all parties. (Everything being open and transparent)

To preserve some form of continuity with your previous navigation. A few of the links below will take you directly to a specific page. However, if selected, I would suggest you the return directly to the Community Council Home Page for familiarisation of the differences.

You can view the SBC 2014 Model Community Council Constitution and the 2019 Handbook. If you require to contact the Community Coucil about any matter then please use the community council contact form (link below) which may help speed up the process.

The Formation of a Working Group for Coldingham Beach and Coastal Paths Care

In order to protect the beach, the coastal paths, toilets, car park etc. for everyones enjoyment not just for now but also for the future we wish to set up a working group to improve the situation. It would be fantastic if you can either express an interest in the working group or even better sign up to be part of the working group.

How we wish to go about this, register your interest or join the working group is all explained in the Working Group Home Page.

This is made available here for those that require online access to this.

Gala

Coldingham Gala

Coldingham Gala is East Berwickshire’s premier summer country gala, taking place on the last Sunday in July each year.

Varied programme from Live Stage Acts, Craft Stalls, Car Boot, Funfair Rides, Fun Dog Show , Free Magic Show, Raffle Prizes and much more. You can book a stall in the Marquee, book a car boot space or provide catering.

Coldingham

Your Local Music Festival held in local venues providing the opportunity for up amd coming as well as established bands and singer songwriters performing live for your enjoyment.

Now established as Berwickshires premier music festival. This is a great way to spend the day for all music lovers that really do enjoy outdoor live music.

Monumental Inscriptions

Coldingham Priory

Search on family name or stone inscription by entering multiple string patterns. (Gravestome Image and approximate location subsequently displayed).

The work of recording the information, approximately 2011, was carried out by Friends of Coldingham Priory and members of Borders Family History Society (BFHS).

John Wood historical Images from the turn of the 20th century and images from local events

One of the most exciting and remarkable photographic finds of recent years was made in, of all places, a Borders garden shed. Comprising a massive accumulation of glass negatives, this was the work of John Wood, a photographer whose studies of village life at the turn of the century sparkle with a quality rarely seen.

Now with over 160 John Wood Images and an Old Postcard 25 minute Slideshow with over 100 images.

The Collection of images now colourised, categorised and brought together for easier accessibility...

Greencoat Drone Hill & Local Grants

Grants of up to £10000 for Community Groups and Projects benefiting Cockburnspath & Cove, Coldingham, Grantshouse, Reston and Auchencrow.

The Drone Hill Wind Farm Community Fund supports community projects benefiting those living in the areas covered by Reston & Auchencrow, Grantshouse, Coldingham, and Cockburnspath & Cove Community Councils. The fund is provided by Greencoat UK Wind, the owners of the Drone Hill Wind Farm in East Berwickshire.

It's free to sign up but you must be a resident in Coldingham or St Abbs as it's the small geographic area

Coastal Path & Local Walks/Trails

For all walkers.

The Berwickshire Coastal Path stretches from Cockburnspath to Berwick-Upon-Tweed is mapped out on OpenStreetMap. Informative waypoints with audio, well worth a look !!

Besides the Coastal Path and local Coldingjam Walks there are a further 12 or so Routes throughout East Berwickshire. The routes are primarily for walkers but where possible attempts have been made to accomodate others.

We shall respond providing the website's email address which can be used for future communication, events, or subsequent images etc... The more notice that can be provided the better. Check out the events page and poster summary, ideal for smaller devices, mobiles etc..

No poster image, then do not worry. We may create a basic no frills poster image for you..
