Welcome to Coldingham Gala and Country Fayre, an event which has been running annualy since 1977.

With a varied programme from live stage acts, craft stalls, car boot, funfair rides, free magic show, kids entertainment their is fun for all the family. The gala is only made possible each year due to our many generous Sponsors

The Gala will be held on the playing field off School Road, offering a varied programme of events and activities for all the family. All money raised will benefit local charities.
Entry: £3.00 Adult, £1.50 Kids (5-16), £1.50 Seniors (60+), £7.00 Family (2 adults & 2 children), Under 5's free.

Great for Kids !!

Every primary-aged child in fancy-dress will get free entry at the gate. Multiple Kids Activities including: Funfair rides, bouncy castle, free magic shows and kids entertainer and free face-painting.

Slaters Funfair : for infants right through to adults. Slaters have provided all the fun of the fair here at Coldingham Gala for a number of years. They always bring a variety of different rides for all to enjoy.

Gladys ChuckleButty : Gladys will have you laughing the whole way through her excellent magic shows and kids entertainment. Great fun for everyone.

Live Music and Stage Acts

The latest, 27th June, on the Stage Acts performing are the Coldingham Ukelele Band, Frank Stride Band, Echo Zoo, Black Sheep, Best Dressed Blues Band, Andy Valentine and The Luna Negra Dance Troupe

Craft Tent : A massive variety of choice from our ever or so talented crafters in and around Coldingham. Packed to the rafters with hand made items. Always a busy place with over 30 tables to browse.

Bar : The favourite attraction for some. With locally sourced craft beers and ciders, why not enjoy a drink while watching the acts on stage which in conveniently next to the bar.

Forte Bros Catering : From ice cream to fish and chips, Fortes have you covered. With 4 different vans on site the choice is yours. They have been serving the local area with quality food for generations.

Tea Tent : If you are not for the bar or happen to be the unlucky one who's driving then our tea tent is the place for you. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, kids drinks, homemade cakes and tray bake. Hotdogs available in the tent next door.

Marquee

It is an excellent opportunity to offer your wares to a wide range of customers, paid public entries in 2023/2024 were over 2,000 and that with not the best of weather.

For craft and produce sellers we have a large Marquee, 30 metres long, with 3 rows of tables for craft and country goods. A few images of sellers in the Marquee from 2023

We will be taking bookings for sellers tables in the marquee early in the new year. Latest: The craft stalls are now SOLD OUT.

Dog Show

We await information for 2025 but last year the dog show was run by Alexa's Canine Trust

Their focus is the rescue and rehoming of dogs into loving homes. They are are a small volunteer led charity consisting of 6 Trustees and at present 11 volunteers and came into being in 2022.

Many categories of a Fun dog show to be judged with small prizes being awarded.

There is no requirement for pre-entry and its any dog on the field which fits, or nearly fits, within the category announced. (Full Details)

Categories are obviously flexible on the day but typically best rescue/rehome, best golden oldie, waggiest tail/bottom, scruffiest, young handler up to 8, young handler 8-16 and supreme sausage snaffler !!

Rosettes for 1st - 3rd. Planned to take place between 2pm - 4pm.

There will be no charge for the dog show but as there is an entry fee to enter the field on the day.

Car Boot Terms

For car boot sellers we have 20 spaces and are now taking bookings.

Cars £10, Large Vans ( transit size ), or Cars with trailers £15 - Includes 1 admission. You can book now to reserve and guarantee your space. If you do not book and turn up on the day there may be no spaces. There are also a few larger outdoor pitches available.

Craft & Produce Terms

£25, table & chair, provided. Includes 2 admissions. To be booked and paid for at the time of booking.

There will be no arranged parking this year except for the usual disabled area. There are places to park in and around the village so we ask you to please park safely, sensibly & responsibly. Bus services are available, Border Buses - Service 235.
