An Innovative Proposal to Reinstate the Disused Berwickshire Railway Route

It is now vital that the presentation is looked at by as many folk as possible as each visit is counted. Now we are getting to a more firmed up proposal we also need as many "LIKES" as possible and also comment if you wish (comments specific to the proposal please) so that we can further demonstrate Community support for the idea. Because of the Pandemic we cannot pull together a public meeting which as you all know would be the normal method of demonstrating support.

One of the most exciting and remarkable photographic finds of recent years was made in, of all places, a Borders garden shed. Comprising a massive accumulation of glass negatives, it's the work of John Wood, a photographer whose studies of village life at the turn of the century sparkle with a quality rarely seen.
This is a quick look at a dozen or so images that have bee colourised with varying degrees of success depending on the quality of the original.

Welcome to Coldingham, a beautiful historic conservation village in Berwickshire, on southeast Scotland's spectacular coastline.
Coldingham Sands
Safe dog friendly beach with large free car park, beach cafe, toilets, disabled parking spaces onthe beach, and RNLI life guards during holiday season. The Berwickshire Coastal Footpath crosses the bay with St Abbs to the north and Eyemouth to the south.
St Abbs Village
Just a couple of miles from Coldingham. World renowned Scuba Diving - considered to be a World Top Ten diving centre. The first Voluntary Marine Reserve in the UK. Super walks over St Abbs Nature Reserve.
Preston Mill
About 22 miles north from Coldingham. Preston Mill is a watermill on the River Tyne at the eastern edge of East Linton. Owned and managed by the National Trust for Scotland. Check web site for opening times.
Berwick upon Tweed
Historic walled town just south of the Border, about 10 miles from Village Centre. Walk the Elizabethan Town Walls, visit the King's Own Borderers Regimental Museum, Berwick Barracks, Berwick Town Hall, Cell Block Museum and Berwick Parish church. Numerous Galleries and Coffee shops.
Museum of Flight
About 25 miles north of Coldingham. The National Museum of Flight is Scotland's national aviation museum, at East Fortune Airfield, in East Lothian. Lots to see and do. It is one of the museums within National Museums Scotland.
Direleton Castle
About 25 miles north from Coldingham Village. Dirleton Castle is a medieval fortress in the village of Dirleton, East Lothian. It lies around 2 miles west of North Berwick.
