Background

Peter started work in this shop at 18 years of age. Sixteen years ago he took over the business from his employer Billy Dempster when he retired.

Four years after taking over the business Peter knocked down part of the premisies and built a small house at the back of the shop and renovated the shop as it is today.

The business continues to thrive, especially in the summer months and long may it continue

Below are a series of images, taken in no particular day which show you what is available in the shop and over the counter.

If you are after a certain cut of meat that you cannot see then just ask Peter. Orders are always welcome whether it be Christmas or for a special event. You will also find a selection of vegetables and other seasonal products.

Homemade mince pies and steak pies are available daily and are ever so popular with the locals and passers by.
